The Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA) had its Second Regional Conference on Harm Reduction successfully held in Beirut, Lebanon, from November 12-15, 2013.
MENAHRA conferences serve to present the strategies of harm reduction and advocate for their adoption to stakeholders, implementers and activists in the region. Following the success of the First Conference that was held in 2009, MENAHRA strives to create a platform once again where professionals, activists and researchers from the region may gather and exchange experiences and latest developments in the field of harm reduction.
The Conference Opening was held on the 12th of November and the Program extended over the period of the three following days, and included major, parallel and workshop sessions, as well as a dialogue space, exhibitors and poster presentations. The languages of the conference are English, Arabic and French and all sessions included simultaneous translation between these languages.
